From beigels to scallops and slow cooked beef, and even with strawberries, find below the very best sandwiches in London.
Beigel Bake
Arguably the best both salt beef and salmon and cream cheese beigels in London. It is not arguable that it is considered the most iconic Beigel shop in the city.
It is open 24/7 and is located in the heart of Brick Lane in East London.
Billingsgate Cafe
Another iconic shop, which may not serve the absolute best sandwiches, but none can argue its “cultural significance”.
It is located in Billingsgate Fish Market (Poplar, London), the largest inland fish market in the United Kingdom, handling an average of 25,000 tonnes of fish and fish products annually. You should try their bacon and scallops roll.
Pockets
Not nearly as iconic as the previous ones, on the opposite, it is quite new and in the heart of East “hipster” London, right next to London Fields.
However; their falafel wrap is the best one I have ever tried. And judging by the length of its queue, I am not the only one with the same taste.
