It wasn’t all it took to make our dream come true — it also took effort, perseverance, and resilience. But we’re making it happen. Get inspired by our story, visit us, and become part of what we’re building in Calabria.
Our Story
In 2022, eight friends from different parts of the world came together with one dream: to bring new life to a forgotten home in the small village of Longobucco, in southern Italy’s Calabria region.
Now, where is Longobucco?
Nested in the hills, which offer amazing mountain views and clear air, Longobucco is surrounded by forests and just 20 minutes from the Ionian Sea.
This town felt like the perfect base for what we wanted to create — a wellness and creative hub rooted in nature and local life.
Our master project manager friend, Bina, who moved back to her hometown after several years in London, discovered an old house overlooking the Calabrian mountains — empty for years, full of stories, and full of potential.
A space that could become more than a home: a place for creativity, connection, and slow living. This is how we started to build our dream — a wellness and creative hub rooted in nature and local life.
Ntrizzi takes its name from an expression in the. Longobucco dialect meaning ‘braiding’ or ‘weaving’.
The Transformation: Before, after, and what is coming
Over the last three years — through a mix of personal investment, EU funding (and loads of back and forth)— the Ntrizzi project has started to take shape. We are still in early stages, but we can now happily say that we have:
- 🛠️ A Workshop space: the entire ground floor has been transformed for crafts, talks, events, and community gatherings. We are already holding our first workshops!
- 🛏️ B&B rooms: we restored two of the five rooms already, each telling a story through local craft and simple elegance.
- 🍋 Kitchen: renovated for guests to cook, share meals, and enjoy the garden under the Calabrian sun.
- 🌿 Wellness & local partnerships: offering yoga, meditation, hiking, wine and cheese-tasting, and village festivals.

Workshops
Inspired by the handmade arts of Longobucco and Calabria, our workshops invite guests to immerse themselves in local traditions and learn techniques to treasure forever.
From kitchen to loom, our experiences are led by local artisans and creatives and take place at the Ntrizzi house.
Expect weaving, Calabrian tastings, cooking classes and many more
All workshops are designed with sustainability in mind — using recycled materials whenever possible and minimising waste.
Bed & Breakfast
The welcoming heart of Ntrizzi is the Bed & Breakfast, where every room tells a story.
Guests can slow down, sleep well, breathe clean air, and experience the authentic hospitality of Longobucco.
2 out of the 5 double en suite rooms are ready, a shared kitchen and garden, with high-speed WI-FI and workspace-friendly setup.
